You get a bonus in Caldari Commando for Rail Rifles, Sniper Rifles, Bolt Pistols and the Magsex. Although personally I take the Assault Rail Rifle and a ADV Swarm Launcher and have done great so far even without a damage bonus.

5. @Plasma Cannon Experts - in Rookie Training Grounds [original thread]
Plasma Cannons are AV weapons but can be used on infantry and do well so long as you don't need to be in a hurry to reload. Ideally putting a Plasma Cannon on a Gallente Commando would be a good choice as you get a damage buff and a second weapon ...

ADV Swarm Launchers are great for taking out ADS and Soma/Madrugar specifically. The Forge Gun is also a brilliant choice since its good at taking out heavies as well. Even a Militia Forge Gun is enough to scare off tankers and dropships not enoug...

Probably a bad question but are Plasma Cannons are useless as they appear? Hard to aim, in the time it takes to fire and reload you could have just used a Rail Rifle or Assault Rifle and gotten better results, and the damage doesn't look to impres...
